Postdoctoral Fellows

Arunima Banerjee

Arunima completed her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2021. Her thesis was titled “Study of the microstructure and mechanical response of additively manufactured IN625 thin-walled structures,” and was done under the advisement of Prof. Kevin Hemker. Prior to her doctoral studies, she received her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Materials Science from Jadavpur University and the Indian Institute of Science, respectively. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Hemker lab, where she is investigating the deformation behavior of Ni-Mo-W alloys and developing a high temperature (1000C – 2000C) mechanical testing setup for refractory alloys.
